Fauna : Photographs of animals, including birds, reptiles, insects, and mammals. Aside from the domesticated animals (dogs, cats, and horses) all animals photographed and displayed in this gallery and on this site are photographed in their natural habitat. There are no zoo animals or otherwise captive wildlife on this site, as much of the magic is lost in captive wildlife photography. Many of the bird photographs are taken at the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge on the Atlantic coast of Florida. It's a popular spot for many species of migratory birds to stop over for a rest or a season. As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions.
