What can be more rewarding to photograph than a wedding? So much thought is put into the tiniest details...the dress, the flowers, the tables. Add to that the wide spectrum of emotions and the reunion of friends and family who may not have had the opportunity to see each other quite often enough.
It's a very special time, and it is my privilege to capture those details and emotions for you and your family to enjoy in the years to come.

CUSTOM PORTRAITURE
I am available throughout the DC metro area for custom, on-location portraits, including children, maternity, newborn, and families. I am available to travel further with advance notice, for an extra fee.
When you invest in a portrait session with MoxiePhotos - whether photographing a newly engaged couple, your whole family, your children, or your four-legged friends - you can expect a relaxed, friendly experience. I will take whatever time is needed to get the shots that you want, without making you feel rushed or as though you're on a clock.
I use primarily available light, especially when photographing children and horses, as both can be put off by the repeated bright flash. Fill flash may be used if absolutely critical.

A BIT ABOUT DANCER AND MOXIE
Hi, I'm Dancer Spence. I'm a former equine veterinarian who practiced medicine in Northern Virginia for 7 years. My interest in photography began in early junior high school when my dad first gave me permission to go play with his fully manual Canon 35mm film camera. The seed was firmly planted, and I continued to nurture it through high school and college.
Although it lay dormant while I completed my medical studies, my interest quickly developed into a passion after I sustained a work-related injury in 2005. Unable to work or ride for many months, photography filled an important space for me and kept me sane. I also believe it was integral to helping me heal. For the past 4 years, I've devoted much of my time and energy to learning about this complex and powerful means of capturing the beauty in life. What a wonderful way to re-discover this world!
Not to be forgotten, MoxiePhotos borrows its name from my sassy, joyful little dog-friend, Moxie. I can only hope to make her proud.
